I'm running up to 6 consecutive tracks in Ableton while performing, and wanting to send the individual tracks to my VJ, so he can run visuals in Quartz Composer that correspond with EACH individual track that I am sending him. For instance, bassline might be a yellow rotating square. Vocals might be a blue diamond that zig zags, etc. Is this possible? I figure it must be, but in my searches I'm coming up empty handed.
Through perhaps a firewire splitter that sends my 6 outputs to my VJ's computer as well as my soundcard? Would this be the best way? He will be performing right next to me, so we can use any of the 2 computer's ports. Is there some sort of application he would need to have installed on his computer in order to receive the 6 tracks?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Tracking Ableton Live to another computer via firewire?

For 6 separate audio tracks, you need 6 audio outputs from your machine and he will need 6 audio inputs in his. So both of you will need sound cards that cater for this. More about the hardware than the software I'm afraid.

Both are macs I assume? You probably could use AUNetSend(stock apple plugin) on each track on your end.
And AUNetReceive/SoundFlower on the other, to send audio over the ethernet. But you'll need a host, that supports AU Generators on the receiving end, AFAIK Live doesn't.
