How to Layer/Resample like this in Ableton?

Post by bbart318 » Mon Apr 09, 2012 6:57 pm

Hey guys, this tutorial is great, It's for Logic though.

In the tut around 1:42, he mentions how he arms several channels and can play them at once with one note. Can this be achieved in Ableton?

Also, the way he sends all 7 channels through a sampler, how would I go about combining several channels to then send through a Sampler?

Without going indepth, two things to be aware of:

Two ways to multi-arm for record are either change a setting in preferences that allows such behavior, or holding ctrl while arming more than one track.

You can create multiple midi tracks and route their output to a midi/instrument. You can even assign a specific channel they are sending out to.
