i make techno.
i'd like to know what most of you use for drum noises? and what sort of processing do you put them through? i can never get my drum noises to sound that great, but it may be because i just use the default stuff in live and process them a bunch. i'm starting to think that better samples to start might be better (or maybe even creative sampling?). thanks again. really appreciate it.

It all depends on what you're trying to achieve. A dubstep snare is going to sound waaaay too fat in a Drum and Bass track, so it's all about finding what's appropriate.
