A guys below wrote he wants Markers.
I agree. I mean LIVE has Warp markers but
LIVE has no Markers like Locators inside a clip!
I mean, since the LIVE 5 it's possible to jump within a
clip during playback and i use this feature during a DJ gig, because sometimes
u want a different order of the parts of a song and sometimes
the people finally started to dance and there is a long
part of the song without rhythm, that you don't want right at that moment.
If there were Locators in a clip with names, that would be a big help!
And it would be even better if i had key commands to jump
to the next/previous Locator markers.
Because i don't use a mouse during the gig, i do it with the trackpad,
and it's not very comfortable to zoom into the clips with the trackpad
to set the jump point.
OK, i can use Warp markers for that, but if you have a songclip with
tempo changes (what even DJ songs sometimes have, if you use
songs from Mixes f.e.) then it's not easy to see which warp marker
is a real Warp Marker (like an Anker) and which is a Locator marker.
And they have no names.
So, that would be a great thing for DJs.
Locator Markers in Clips
Re: Locator Markers in Clips
Dug this one up via the search function because I'd like to see the ability to create Locators within MIDI clips too.
Not for the more complex function outlined below. It's because I'm starting to send a lot of automation to external hardware synths via MIDI clips, and it would be really helpful to be able mark where certain things are happening in the automation.
For me this would be particularly useful because you can't view multiple lanes of MIDI parameter automation at the same time in Live. So locators would be the only way to maintain consistent signposts that are viewable no matter which parameter you're working on automating.
