What is wrong with the beatmatching at the end? Please help!
So I have setup (warped) my tracks...they are all nicely warped with many warped markers. I even went through each of my markers to make sure i didnt mess up anywhere and keyed in the wrong tempo from my mixmeister display. I factor out the silence at the beginning. So i start playing one track for a few seconds, then drop the next...a perfect mix. I'll even drop three or four more tracks and they all beat match perfectly. Ive never heard anything like it. All i do is press play and voila the beat match is there.
Now I think im ready to start recording my mixes. I play the track..the end is approaching...i want to bring in the next track and the same tracks that were beat matched so well are now really off. All of them! No matter what tracks i mix, once i start getting to the middle of the tracks or end...no more mixing...what is going on?? Is this normal? I dont understand why something would mix so well at what point would all of a sudden go off....appreciate any help!

For sure. M question is, i know i can play around with the start point flag and get the perfect mix, but if it is mixing perfectly at the beginning, why cant it be perfect throughout.monkeyboy wrote:Stupid answer but you did remember to press the 'save' button in the clip window once you'd warped them didn't you?
Also, I was wondering there is such thing as warping too much? How many warp flags is enough for a full length track...every 5? every 10?

Are your tracks autowarped?
I´ve found out that autowarped tracks (with only one warpmarker at the 1.1.1) beatmatch at the beginning, but if it comes to the end you need to adjust the BPM a bit by dragging one of the last not warpmarkers to the right place, that should do the trick.
Only put warpers when you need, most electronic stuff only needs one before and after breaks to keep the groove.
Check out sickpuppys thread, it includes the movie.

the downbeat of a (2, 4, 8, 16) bar phrase needs to consistantly come on major subdivisions throughout your track in order for it to phrase correctly with another track.
but plenty of tracks add a beat here or there, or a bar coming out of a break, and by the time you get to the end of the track it's "off".
so when you fire the next track at what seems to be the right time, it wont phrase right and in plenty of cases will clash.
check your track by making an 8 bar loop, then flipping it forward along the track to see that everything lines up ok by the time you get to the end

You should turn off warp mode, move the "1" to the first downbeat, play the file, tap the tempo, turn on warp mode, and set a warp marker on the down beat once every sixteen measures. Skip breakdowns and start with another warp marker on the first beat after the breakdown.
This is a good way to start and learn. You'll use less warp markers as you perfect the method.
