8 bit 11khz? help on exporting in this fashion

No prob. BTW, there's nothing wrong with lo-fi production techniques in general, but bit reduction wouldn't be my first choice unless you were really trying to capture that 80's Commodore SID vibe.
"Re-amping" tracks either via room miking or using my trusty old 4-track has worked really well for me, and might have a bit wider applicability than bit reduction for most styles. Like d-track said though, redux can get you there if you really do want that sound.
