Using Your Own Launchpad User Pages in Live 7?
Using Your Own Launchpad User Pages in Live 7?
Hi, is there any way to stop Live from taking over the User pages 1 & 2 when launching? I set up some cool automap pages that I can use in Reaper, etc., as the Launchpas isn't possessed when using a DAW other than Live. It would be cool to still use the Session page on the Launchpad, but with my own custom user maps, not the default drum rack on User page 1. Is there a way to keep the automap editor open when launching Live and still use my own automap pages? Thanks.

Ah, nothing like figuring it out 5 seconds after you post, lol. I just had to get the preferences right, turn off Live, replug the Launchpad to bring back up my user page, and restart Live.

Ok, not actually working. I can keep the automap editor open by using the Launchpad in native/non control-surface mode, but the mappings I have open are not working, Live is still taking over the user pages to its' default behaviors. Funny, the Automap notification popup tells me that my mappings are being triggered, but Live is totally overriding those somehow.

Not sure if this is what you are asking exactly, but User 2 + down arrow will bring up your automap pages, hitting those buttons again will return you to session mode! Hope that was what you were looking for!

Thanks, I'd forgotten that trick for bringing up my own User maps. Unfortunately Live is still choosing to ignore the mappings in favor of it's defaults or something. The top left Launchpad button is being assigned to C-2, working up the keyboard as you move across and down the Launchpad, which isn't at all what I have on my Automap user page, and not the information the Launchpad is sending, as verified by the little Automap popup window.
