Again:
if you ask, then offer...
work must be paid somehow

stop with this bad idea that music is a hobby
music takes a lot of time of our lives...

think about it

Music is a lot of things, serious business being one of them.

99% of all the discussions on this forum would have a very different tone if everyone weren't just a username, but a real stinking breathing living human being with (or without) experience, a family, a daughter, a son, a job, bills, broken dreams and everything else that comes with human life on planet earth.

We are all different people with different views on the world.
Some people consider music as a hobby, others as an income, other as a social get-together, others as the only true language worth speaking, others as a waste of time.

Who is the richer person? A munk in his temple or you winning $1.000.000.000?

Ill stop bitch´n now.

Oh, you teases. This playing hard to get thing is killing me.

I really want to tell the misses and kids that Daddy will be disappearing into the music shed for a week (again!) to selflessly help some musical pioneers fulfil their destiny and live the dream.

Just throw me a frickin' bone, here! POST THE FILES!

well don't misunderstand me please....
I'm still waiting for a world where people can live by their own dreams
dreams need work, a hard work
the more you are getting close to the dream, the more you have to work

that's it

don't ask the people to work free for you, it's much unpleasant, that's my honest opinion

insisting that you only do music for money is unpleasant, IMO.

Asking for strangers to give you lots of their time if you cannot do similar in return is cheeky.

Especially if that stranger's time helps you make money down the line.

I agree with you. The concept of the swap mix is a very noble one. Nothing like that on offer here though.

OP, I think beatmunga says no.

Claydough25, I wouldn't post your email address openly on the net because some nasty spambot will come along and hoover it up and send you lots of stuff you don't want.

People do free remixes all the time for other artists. If you like the original, and you like the people who made it, it's not immoral to choose to remix for free. Maybe some folk here who want to try remixing would like the opportunity. My question to the OP: Why don't you remix your own track - learn a different approach to your music, play around with it. I also think it seems odd to just want <anybody> to remix your track - ask some djs/producers that you know and like and trust, instead of punting to the entire world. My 2p.

If people want to do stuff for free, especially music, let them do. It is hopefully a passion for most of us!

It's ok to warn them, but here the OP clearly stated what was the deal.

Btw, I'm using this thread to post my own needs :

" I've got a lots of dishwasing to do, anyone want to come over and do it? It will not be paid (I'm broke), but I'll tell my neighboors how cool you are. Thanks in advance"

Yeah man, dishwashing is all about spreading the love and personal fulfilment.

Also, if the truth be told I think that being known as a dishwasher may help me to get laid and look cool.

To borrow a phrase from Tone Deft: insisting that you only wash dishes for hygiene reasons or cash is unpleasant, IMO

I used to have a friend who did this once in a while. She loved to clean and wash and smiled while doing it. She called me up and was like "can I come over and clean your floors or something".. I didnt even have to be there. I suppose it was an obsession. Much like me and my music..

(she was married, so no, there was only cleaning involved..)
