Live will not open/ Crashes

I cannot open up live. After initially clicking on the live icon from my desktop, after a few seconds before it even gets to the main session view window it just crashes and quits. I get a message saying ignore,quit or reopen, none of this works.

I have just reinstalled the new v 3 update and it is still doing it.



I have gone back to an older version of live,but i cannot find any of my new recent sets/projects.



Please can any one help with this.

Have you installed any new vsts or plugs?

If you have gone back to an older version, what is the version number?

Can you open any of your newer sets if you go to File/Open Live Set and search through your file system?
Your recent sets won't show up on your 'Open Recent Sets' option as they have probably not been opened on your older version of Live.

Do you have Reaktor installed? If so try moving it out of your plugins folder and see if it helps. If so, trash the Reaktor prefs and that should do it.

you could also look at the cache files.

SOmetimes with big projects, it has hard time to close, then it creates a big log txt file that can prevent opening live.
Delete the file and you should be ok.

The bad thing here is to identify the involved file

I will try the Reaktor suggestion as i did get that at xmas so maybe thats the problem.

Hello again

i just moved reaktor out of the plugins folder and started again,and noticed that when it trys to load live the first thing it says is 'Creating a Bug pack Report'. Which i did not notice before.

This is obviously why its crashing and not loading up.

I am not sure how to solve this.

Any more help would be great!
