Hi,
I'm about to make a big upgrade in my live setup, from some basic midi controllers and was wondering which direction to go in. I'm going to buy two of the new allen and heath K2s just because of the amount of control they offer. I'll also be throwing in my Maschine Mikro for live drum patterns etc and then my main decision to make is whether to get an external mixer (pretty sure I'd go for the Allen & Heath 62) OR...... get the new Livid Instruments C:ntrlr. If you haven't heard of it worth checking out, here's a pretty good video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO7hFqdhi-s anyway yeah I'm having a hard time making my mind up. I'm swinging between the two mainly because I feel the AH mixer would be a much long lasting purchase. But the flip side is that the cntrl:r looks pretty perfect for my needs. My main/only area of performance is techno, minimal so live editing, live performance is pretty much my main thing.
Thoughts? Anyone got one or have anything to say on the whole midi/mixer tradeoff?
Cheers
