Moving a live set or project from my desktop to laptop.

Post by nchardy » Sun Apr 29, 2012 3:46 pm

We use ableton in our praise band and i need to learn how to transfer a project that contains loops clicks and cues. They are wave files created with instrument in my studio and so far when i save the set on a storage device I get an error message that media files are missing.. How can I move the set and add the whole set to my laptop?

Thanks,

Hardy

Go to mange project in the file menu. That will give you option to copy any external samples into the project folder. You can also copy all of the library samples you've used, which is safest if there's any difference between the library on your 2 computers. This is also for removing unused recordings from the project. Eg audio takes that you deleted the clip of are still there.

And of course copy the whole project folder between computers.
