Hey there,
I have built a very basic sequencer. All is working well but I want to trigger the sequencer in the same way that the monomodular stuff does, and there is a sequencer by Prebentious that also triggers via midi notes.
When I open these up to edit, they don't use livestep in the same way I am. (or not at all in the case of monomodular)
I have tried copying various bits over in a feeble attempt to get it going.... but no such luck so far.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.
Triggering Livestep with midi notes
Re: Triggering Livestep with midi notes
so what you're saying is that you have livestep up and running, but you want it triggered by midi notes?
I feel like you should just build a midi note input system yourself, really.
Notein, stripnote, select

Re: Triggering Livestep with midi notes
Thanks for the reply - I was starting to loose hope!
I have been trying to build it myself. I wouldn't just post on here without trying first. I'm pretty sure I tried Notein>stripnote but it didn't seem to run. All my other attempts at midi note triggering have been sucessful, so I think my issue is with live.step.
I think it might have something to do with all the other stuff I have going on, as its a mutant of several patches. It's currently driven by metro which might be nessasary for clock divisions.
So far it runs like a charm, but I feel I could get a lot more out of my 8 steps if I could control the stepping in more ways.
I will try again on your advice, but I will post some code if anyone cares to help(?)
