I think you miss the point entirely.Riff Valley wrote:Putting bombs on buses is not a perswasive argument for me to become a Muslim. Al Quada have 'lost the plot'
The great philosopher, Jesus, said "Love your enermies"
I am finding it difficult at the moment ....
Christian armies butchered their way across the globe in centuries gone by to clense societies of their own beliefs and brainwash them with the mythical mindcontrol of the most sucessful cult of all, Christianity.
That is not the goal of Al Quaeda, they are not on a crusade to defeat Christianity. They want the armies of Bush & Blair removed from their lands.
Religion; what a fucking moronic dreamworld most of the planet like to obsess themselves with.

Unfortunately humankind is always going to perpetrate this kind of crap on one another, we aren't the most stable race in the galaxy. We have a big history of doing this sort of thing, often much worse. It's just that we are caught in the middle of this one. It's hard to believe - but there is no right side to this. it's all wrong sides untill we become golden god beings and ascend majestically above it.
erm, the invasion of Iraq / afghanistan was by Christian forces surely. If I was a Muslim growing up in poverty with a grudge (and also mad), I would probably say that the Crusades continue. I think GBJr is quite a fan of the crusades.
Ok, I know the crusades were different.
Actually I highly recomend the book CRUSADES - By Terry Jones & Alan Ereira . In the first crusades the "peasants crusade" started killing the first people they found as they approached the holy-lands. As documented by the pope's chronicler the peasants performed hideous and depraved acts on the muslims they found ...
who were actually germans! the peasants had no conception of what a muslim actually was, so as they came out of France into Germany they slew thousands assuming these strange foreigners must be muslims!!
the countries weren't called that in the middle ages of course.
