Imagine you love the breathy quality a full-blown reverb or other very trailing effect (like a Corpus) gives a sound.
Then imagine while this alters the sound of a sequenced track to how you want it toally messes up the amplitude signature.
Such as just smearing reverb all over a tight and on/off poppy rhythmic track/beat/synthline.
Dream solution: sidechaining or reusing the original amplitude signature to control the alternered amplitude signature to keep the rhythm intact and poppy but also keep the altered sound the reverb, Corpus or other trailing effect produces.
