Drivers of my launchpad not recognised in windows 7

I have use for years my launchpad on windows Vista it have always worked automatically. With windows 7 I download the new drivers on Novation site and windows complain that they can't find my drivers that I have download.... What's going on ? If you have a clue please help me I have a show this week end and I thought that using lp on w7 was a piece of cake...

I if remember correctly, it should normally work like this:

1) Download the driver (Novation USB Driver-2.3.exe) and install it (with the launchpad UNPLUGGED from the computer)
2) After installation is finished, PLUG IN the launchpad -> Windows should now find/use the Novation driver automatically.

that should do the trick.

the only thing i can think of that MIGHT interfere with that... is if you have the LP plugged into a USB hub with a lot of other devices... if that's the case, you may want to install it initially on a free USB port, then move it to the hub once you have it working in 7.

Thank you so very much. I too had the same problem. My old laptop finally died and when setting up my new one I couldn't remember if I had an installation disc or what. THE MAIN TRICK was to boot up the computer with the Launchpad NOT CONNECTED. Download and install the driver file, THEN plug in the Launchpad and to be really sure it all works, plug it directly into a USB port as opposed to a hub w/ a bunch of other devices. Again, thank you!
