I know what your about to say: "Press Command+K and you can assign your key commands".
Well yes, but not a few things. What about Clip Warp? Or Clip Reverse? Or Midi Clip Fold?
And what about to view the browser, device draw, mixer etc.
These commands a all three pronged: Command+Option+B or M or L
For me, three keys for something I press a few times a minute, is a bit ridiculous.
We should be able to edit these ourselves. Fully!

Re: More/Custom key commands please
Until ableton changes this I recommend using autohotkey if you're on a pc.
The three-button key commands are just silly. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to open and close the browser by just pressing "b" (and using autohotkey I did just that

Yes, that's why ableton needs to implement it themselves, so that it can be context sensitive. Reaper, for example, does just that. It is not a very difficult thing to implement.

Re: More/Custom key commands please
not neccesarily. In autohotkey you can set it up so that the script disables when you press "ctrl-r" to rename a track for instance, and then re-enables once you hit enter. This way you can still type normally while renaming. (you just have to remember to use ctrl-r to rename.)synnack wrote:because every time you type the word "bass" the browser moves?snakedogman wrote:Until ableton changes this I recommend using autohotkey if you're on a pc.

Believe me it works.
And of course if Ableton would program this natively I'm sure they could make it behave the same way, so that such a hotkey would be disabled when you're typing text into a name box.
This kind of functionality works fine in many other programs.
