POPs in track

Post by rythmc » Wed May 23, 2012 5:53 am

I'm working on a track and after uploading it to soundcloud I keep hearing some very minot (but annoying!) 'pops' and glitching type noises in the track...

I don't think its my mixing as it sounds fine before uploading it and i've never had this problem before when putting tracks up. I don't think I'm clipping anywhere

Could it be my sample rate or some exporting option... I'm doing 44100 and all the suggested setting for dither etc. Or is it a soundcloud thing?

Any suggestions much appreciated!

sounds like you're clipping the master output..
try lowering the volume on the master and render again

It might be a Soundcloud thing. I uploaded a new track a week ago and on the first few listens to make sure it uploaded correctly I heard pops. I noticed they were intermittent and did not occur at the same time. So that led me to think it was a Soundcloud issue. The pops have since gone away. If they do occur at the same time then it is something with your mix or computer issues while rendering.
