USB Devices Touble/Driver?

Post by zoominillicit » Wed May 30, 2012 5:44 pm

I have recently found that us deviced and asio4all do not work together.(ableton doesn't even recognize them) MMEdriver has too much latency. I hear that osx works for mac, but I am running windows 7. What kind of driver or soundcard would be recommended for getting lowest latency recordings from usb devices such as a ctk4000 Calsi midi keyboard, and an audiotechnica at2020 condenser mic. I know these devices will work in ableton somehow. I just need to know what I am missing. I am aware of my serious lack of understanding of music production so please consider this when posting replies. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i'm not familiar with that hardware, but ASIO4All will definitely get your mic going minus the latency. Ableton should see the driver. if it does not, then something went wrong during install.

maybe you need to right click on the .exe for ASIO4All and "install/run as administrator"
