Made my first release for the ableton contest... feedback!!!

Post by Absumpykno » Tue May 29, 2012 8:05 pm

Its my first release, but not my first production(I just dont finish any), I have a tendency to complete 2 maybe 3 musical phrases but leave projects incomplete. This contest was my chance to proof to myself what I could really do(I feel there is always something missing). I took the sounds given and sculpted them to my liking, I tried to make a clash between atmospheric and power. I only aded a snare. Feed back is my priority but if you like it you can vote.

:D

Didn't you know yourself you created a cool tune ? you should! voted for you and favorited your track.
As far a a steep learning curve , i was surprise to read that. For ableton you need to tap into your intuition not your thinking the program is writting in such a genius way that it all starts to make sense when you follow the lessons that come with the program. the concept is basically that everything is possible and operates with double clicks and drags and drops. However when you made music with other computer software before you start using ableton you get probably stuck. I did when i first started using it , i couldn't get my head around it and spent days learning and studying untill i sat down and followed the lessons ten minutes later it all made sense.
http://contest.ableton.com/tracks/974 was my contribution , working for 5 or 6 years now with ableton and teaching other people crazy tricks that are not in the manual.
