Simple Midifile (midiclip) player in M4L ??

Post by alien factory » Thu Jun 07, 2012 7:12 pm

Hi,

I need a simple midifile (midi clip) player to put in front of an instrument, so the midi clips are separated from whatever is in the Ableton Session View.

I my case I have about 32 one bar midi clips, that I want to handle and assign to a controller (laptop keyboard). Start and Stop should be synced to Host.
Clips should loop until stopped or another midi clip is chosen.

So there should be 32 boxes to drag midi clips on, click on a box -> play and loop. Visual feedback about slot is filled and when a slot is playing.
Also the clips should be stored in the device to load it into any song.

Does anyone know something like this or similar to adapt???

Is there someone who could built it? How much would it cost?

Best
Stefan

seems a way...but the clips are already in my session view, no need to edit them...

I just wanna have them independent and not in my session view, simply dragging them onto a midicip player right before my instrument...

In M4L you can use [seq] or [detonate] as Midifile player.
So there only remains some detail work for the user interface.
