Am i totally missing the point of what live.step is? It can only have one note played per step?? How is that useful....

You are missing the fact that live.step can handle *multiple* sequences (no upper limit defined).
But for editing only one of the sequences is displayed at a time.

Ahh i see, oh well it gets me one step further in my quest... I simply need to be able to pull the notes out as you have, save them in something (anything i dont have a clue) but be able to edit them to remove all instances of say one note and then replace the notes in the mid clip with my newly edited ones....

I would copy the clip into [coll], make any changes there and dump back into the clip.
