Back to arrangement lights when I'm not doing anything!

Post by synthbob » Thu Jan 05, 2012 7:54 pm

Hi,

This is wrecking my head. I have no clips in session view. Playing in arrangement view, the back to arrangment light comes on when the first note of a synth (sylenth in this case) happens.

Ive traced it to filter cutoff automation. Delete the automation, back to arrangement stays off. Have any automation drawn in there - back to arrangement lights up.

Anyone know what the hell is going on?

Cheers

you have an envelope or something drawn somewhere. look for little red squares on controls in Session view, hover the mouse over it and hit delete to kill it (IIRC.)

Tell me about it :)

No controller devices connected. Session view completely empty.

Any other ideas?

yeah could be a rogue midi controller. If you have an Akai MPK49, look no further... it's got a mind of it's own

i'm having this same exact issue with my mpk49 and ableton, what is the fix? i've tried disabling all the midi out through midi sync and that didnt solve the issue.

its really frustrating and only happens when i record automation through the mpk49, for instance when i automate the K1 knob to the cuttoff on a synth for instance, it will record all fine but when played back the automation will turn maroon and instead of a red light, i get a grey light?

try cleaning it with an appropriate solvent..

if that don't work..
replace the encoder..

Solution - Just in case ayone else was having the same trouble...

It's program changes in sylenth, take em out of any clips in arrangment view and no more back to arrangement light...

Cheers
