Guitar Rig 5 strange behaviour in Live

Post by effe1981 » Sun Jun 24, 2012 4:04 pm

Hello to everybody.
I noticed some strange things happening while using Guitar Rig 5 inside a Live session.
I'm using a Macbook with lion, lemur and a pedalboard (rig kontrol or keith mc millen softstep) for playing live.

What i did:

I created a session in arrangement mode with some audio tracks and a track with guitar rig set to input so i can play guitar over the audios.
Plus i added some automations to live so i can play without turning on and off pedals.
In lemur i made some buttons for turning on and off pedals to "override" the automation if i want to switch on and off some fxs and i've put a "back to arrangement" button to get back to the original automation envelope.
I mapped the same cc s to the pedalboard, so i can also use pedals.

What happens:

I don't know why, but very often (i didn't understand if it's connected to some specific actions that i make) pedalboard and lemur can't control guitar rig effects anymore. The midi signal comes but it does not change anything, like guitar rig refuses live's control change.

What i've tried:

I've put guitar rig inside "effect rack" and mapped pedals into macros. This works, but it does not provide midi feedback to lemur & pedals, which is very useful to look at a glance what's turned on and what's not.
I've tried to use guitar rig MFX and putting midi from other tracks. Same story, it seems to work but no midi feedback...

Do someone want to help me?
Thank you.

:)

Thanks for the reply.

Obviously yes. Yesterday i've noticed that changing the "takeover mode" to "none" seems to solve the issue...
But it used to happen randomly so i can't tell it for sure...
