I have read that some 3rd party apps look terrible.
Any plans for an update to take advantage of the extra pixels?

I went for the non retina version in the end. As much as the slim body is appealing, i don't want to pay up for a feature that will add very little to my experience, and may even detract in the short term. (if apps look wack). also, the non retina model has thunderbolt which suits me nicely.
