Clip launcher (program?)

Post by Crosz » Tue Jun 26, 2012 2:42 am

Is there a third party clip launcher that isn't an external controller but a program in the computer?

I recommend Ableton Live which is quite good at launching clips within Ableton Live

Kidding aside, what exactly are you looking for? Different interface? Is there something about launching clips in Live that you don't like?

Anything that can send midi could be a clip launcher, just connect it to Live using midiyoke or the IAC.

 perhaps the OP wants to create a touch screen gui that's better than live, perhaps they want to use Live in the most counter intuitive way possible. Who am I to judge?

Max (not max for live) would be external to live. just create a virtual keyboard, assign it to IAC bus...
MBP M1 Max 64 GB Ram, OSX 15.7.4
Live 10.1.43 Suite
Live 11.3.35
Live 12.3.6
Interface : RME Fireface UCX

Depends on if the OP wants to have 'red box' and 'clip presence' option, then M4L or Python stuff (way beyond my knowledge).
If not, well, max, PD, or whatever.
MacBook Pro 13" Retina i7 2.8 GHz OS 10.13, L10.0.1, M4L.
MacStudio M1Max 32Go OS 12.3.1
