APC40 Note Mode Patch......NEED HELP
Re: APC40 Note Mode Patch......NEED HELP
You can disable them individually i remember but then you have to disable everything else individually, easier to do as you said and rewire the launch buttons to their default functionality, call_scene_offset to find the top right position of the clip launch rectangle then some maths to set live.objects with the right path.... Don't set a metro to call the offset, simply listen the up and down bank buttons and call it each time they are pressed, you might want to do the same for the release of the shift button as well...

Re: APC40 Note Mode Patch......NEED HELP
Hey,
Fantastic patch, it seems to be what I need. I tried replacing the python script, but it meant I couldn't use the FX Sequencer. The only problem I'm having is that I have to remap the leds and note assignments everytime I open my set. I saved my settings to the custom file, but when I open the file again, it seems to make no difference, it doesn't change the settings.
any tips?
Thanks
David

Re: APC40 Note Mode Patch......NEED HELP
Thanks. I know I said in my comment at m4l.com that this would be a patch I finished out, but it looks like it just gonna be another half ass patch that I let fall through the cracks. Honestly I make stuff like this, and then I suddenly find a better solution, that solution was a patch that works in conjunction with Hanz's Script.
I have not opened or used this patch in a long while. I know it needs help, but your guess may be as good as mine really.

Great device, thank you! I have a question though. Is there a way to unmap the parameters from Device Control rotaries on APC40?
Re: APC40 Note Mode Patch......NEED HELP
You could midi map them to something else but they will be permanently mapped...

I'm not sure what you mean by this.membrane wrote:Is there a way to unmap the parameters from Device Control rotaries on APC40?
As far as the m4l device is concerned, it does nothing with device control, only the button matrix.
Re: APC40 Note Mode Patch......NEED HELP
Well, on my APC knob 1 AUTOMATICALLY controls ON/OFF of the deviceJuanSOLO wrote:membrane wrote:

knob 2 - enters EDIT mode
knob 3 - STORE
knob 4 -opens SAVE dialog
knob 5 - OPEN
knob 6 - STORE number
knob 7 - RECALL number
knob 8 - nothing
these seem to be pre-mapped. In live situation i'm not going to use them, so i was wondering is there a way to unmap them.

OK, makes since now.
The patch was never designed to interact with the bluehanded stuf
SO
you need to open the patch
go into the parameters menu
change ALL of the "Order Numbers" to something outside of 0-9
Order numbers represent which knob on the APC40 get controlled when blue handed.
