logic as time/tempo/sync slave to ableton?

Post by worldboy » Sat Jul 07, 2012 12:02 am

hi there, i read that logic can slave to MTC (midi timecode), so does that mean there is a way for logic to follow ableton's tempo and start/stop transport function? if this is possible, how is it configured (not just in logic)? i've been googling this for 2 days but couldn't find any clear answers.

Live doesn't output MTC, so the short answer is no.

You can do the opposite, though. Via Rewire you can control Live from Logic (or Mainstage).

Many DAWs support Rewire but most want to be the master, only Live can be either master or slave.
