Btw. Axion 2nd gen encoders are rubbish too, only a bit better resolution than Impulse. I wonder if Axiom Pro is also as bad or perhaps it has better (or adjustable) resolution...?

So until now I have found only two brands of usable encoders with moderate price, Akai and Novation (Nocturn, SLmk2, ZeroMk2) and the latter can be used only with Automap, and former has them only in big and heavy controllers.

my experience - axiom pro 25 encoders work fine, IF you use the darn knobs ONE at a time. the acceleration can be adjusted or turned off. IF you turn two knobs simultaneously, (eg. the 3EQ gain of mid and high) there is some form of latency.
