some of the media files such as samples could not be loaded
some of the media files such as samples could not be loaded
I've updated to 8.3 (from 2.7) and when i'm opening a project, shared with a colleague, i get this notification:
Some of the media files such as samples could not be loaded
Normally live would then give me an option to open the File Manager and show what it's missing, but it doesn't.
And when i open the File Manager it doesn't show any missing file??
What is going on here? How can i find out what is missing if Live doesn't show it?

Same thing is happening to me. Any Luck? Nothing in the knowledge base referencing this error message either. In my case the sample file and the reference file where on my computer but live could not find them.
and yes, the worst part, no way to reconnect

Silly enough the only way to fix the problem is to install quicktime.

Not the case for me. I'm on a Mac and I've had QuickTime Pro for Many moons now.zeepster wrote:Silly enough the only way to fix the problem is to install quicktime.

So I am lost. Nothing in the user manual with the word "
Offline" either

My project did open on my macbook but not on the pc.
It's clear now to me that Live gave it that error description because it didn't have a more detailed one.
Bottom-line was it just couldn't read the sample (even though it was there).
See if your project opens on another mac, or pc even. That way you can get to know more about the error and email ableton support.

Any solutions on finding out which samples are missing? I am receiving the same error message but it does not show missing files like it usually does in red at the bottom.

This is happening with me using the latest version of Live, but with a template. I have no media files loaded in the template.
This is the template layout
Audio Track 1: Tuner
Midi Track 2 : Nothing
Aux Channel A: Vahalla Room Reverb
Aux Channel B: Ping Pong Delay
Master Channel: Eq8 and Limiter set to default.
