I would like to show you my latest DIY controller build made using the Teensy++ microcontroller.
I wanted it to be a really fun to play and cool looking device, and what suits better than the old school arcades that we all loved as kids. Also something as expressive as the Midi Fighter Pro, but throw couple of extra controls in there and a Pac-Man era joystick. Armed with ergonomically placed Sanwa arcade buttons, smooth Bourns potentiometers and the joystick controlling expressive gestures, it turned out to be a very nice and responsive controller.
And finally I have developed a couple of MIDI Remote Scripts for Ableton Live that emulate the basic behavior of an APC/Launchpad, like track, clips, device and global controls, as well as a drum rack pad.
