I got the beta email this morning. FWIW, I can't seem to login, and the password reset doesn't work. I emailed them about it. We'll see. Maybe the site's under heavy load right now?

I can't help but reply to a previous post I made on this topic, simply because of 2 things, 1st of course I believe I was right of course, but still can see myself lost for words, and certainly begining to digress in to verbal diarrhea. and 2nd I don't like falling out with Ableton users as it seems dumb and somehow the last things I want.

This ammused me and I think it makes a fitting reply for the lost words.

Seriously.

Kind Regards.

heh. audiogl is old news ;)
i think even CDM covered it last year.

thing is, although having a daw that runs on your gpu mainly is technically a good thing, i'm sure the novelty will wear out really quickly. so what you are left with then is a musictoy with cute visuals, similar to about 80% of all touchscreen music-apps.

i can't even eleive to imagine how much hassle it has to be to made a song or two using that thing. looks nice, and it sounds nice, but surely there's a reason most daw looks and act the same other than "tradition"?

anyone doing vfx surely can see the hassle with a 3d threeaxis modular audio toy.

the synth is actually 2d...
the depth plain is only used to visualize envelopes...
and those can be also grouped to 2d layouts

theres still not much info on all features... only old videos
so you could be right... well have to wait and see
first version due this month...

Don't read CDM. It's new to me  You might be right f_k. What a lovely visual musical toy it will be. It could be a difficult workflow......looks messy.....looks like a great way to waste time.

Haha, old news, & it hasn't been released. God the interweb is a fast moving beast.

From what I can tell.. AudioGL looks damn sexy and sounds pretty freaking hot too ..

It's all about conceptualizing (we're talking computer software here), so why not push the boat out and see if we can evolve some?

FWIW, I will be supporting the development and getting behind AudioGL. Something that looks that sexy is too hard to walk past.
