Live 7 Suite > Live 8 upgrade question

I'm still pondering whether upgrade to Live 8 this week and want to check something else if anyone can help:

If I upgrade from Live 7 Suite to normal non-suite Live 8, do I keep all of my Live Suite devices from 7 (ie; sampler, tension, operator etc) or do I have to upgrade to Live 8 Suite to use them?

If you can keep the suite instruments from Live 7, is there anything major in live 8 suite that would justify spending the extra £s? Hope that made sense! Cheers.

Yes, good point - I'll forget about upgrading to Live Suite 8 and replace all the lovely synthesized Suite instruments with samples running from IK Multimedia's Sampletank.

Congratulations on taking a few hundred pounds out of Ableton's pocket, on their own forum

Why even reply if you're just trying to sell your crap and not actually answer anything the guy posted about upgrading Live 7 Suite to Live 8.. ?


If you do upgrade though, you'll still be able to use Live 7 Suite in all it's glory.. just can't use the suite devices from Live 7 in Live 8.

Often there's decently priced upgrades from non-suite to suite throughout the year (I recently upgraded to Live 8 suite when it was on sale) - if you can't justify the full suite upgrade price.
