On one hand these patent wars are getting tiresome. On the other hand it sets a bad precedent if a company spends a lot of time and money on R&D and another company just blatantly rips it off for free with no consequences. But short of Android being completely shut down I don’t know what Apple’s ideal end game is here.

I’m sure this all originates back to Steve being miffed about how close the Windows interface is to Mac OS, something the general public takes for granted.

I'm all for patenting. Patent your heart out. If there's a patent that's borderline ridiculous it can be handled in court, so it doesn't hurt to at least put it out there.

NO YOU DON'T! because you think the Apple iPad is the most revolutionary unique and beautiful peace of technology since the introduction of the single celled organism in the cosmos. if we played 3 pad monty with two Samsungs and an iPad would you be able to pick which one is made by Apple? YES.

we need more judges like this one in the U.S. imagine making all that sense??? basically the judge said "shut up and stop getting publicity by whining motherfuckers. you're whining is so fucking lame that now you get to advertise for Samsung. think twice next time you greedy bastards."

As LSZ eluded to, this judge clearly spends his weekends with his US Revolutionary War reenactment troop and saw this as an opportunity to win a small battle against a US based juggernaut.
