Hi guys, I was wondering what you use to carry your stuff around to gigs and such.
I've been looking to buy/build a carry case for Laptop/Soundcard + MIDI controllers (Launchpad/MIDI Keyboard/Knobs etc.) but have found a hard time finding anything on the market that suits this need.
There are plenty of DJ Cases out there but none I can see for the Laptop musician.
Is this a serious gap in the market? Or do I need to refine my search terms?
My ideal would be to have a case that fit everything in already set up so I could just turn up to gigs, plug in, turn on and start playing.
At the moment it feels a bit like assembling flat-pack furniture every time I have to get my kit out on stage or in rehearsal.
Cheers guys!

It is absolutely a serious gap in the market, unless you are willing to blow tons of money on custom gear.
I use an old bass case for my setup:

I cut off the top and replaced the hinges with breakaway hinges, that way the top comes completely off. I fit my laptop, a 49 key midi controller, 3 nanokontrollers, a kaossilator, and a hidden compartment for cable management, adapters, and a usb hub. It works great.
You just need to find a case that is thicker than your midi controller is tall.

I just build my own, or customize something myself.
This was early on, what you dont see is underneath the APC40 I have a soundcard, and a Mixer I can access from the back plus a power strip. Everything stays plugged in. All I have to do to set up is open my Z stand, plug in the power stip, and run my Left and Right audio to whatever.

then I started doing this, again the sound card and power strip are under the keyboard.

now it looks more like this, and I have plans on getting new gear and rearranging, so eventually I will rebuild something more suitable, still it onle takes a minimal amount of time to plug n play.

any box that your gear will fit in, some of this stuff

and maybe some zip ties, or those velcro cord ties, and you'll be on your way.
pending on how savy you are with dictate how awesome your rig will be.
