...Sampler practically SCREAMS: "Make me worthy! Gimme multiple outputs!"
Multiple outputs for Sampler!
Multiple outputs for Sampler!
Now that you can slice material very conveniently into a single Sampler instance, and also drag a bunch of oneshots into it, very quickly assigning samples chromatically including their root notes (thank you, all of this rocks!)...
...Sampler practically SCREAMS: "Make me worthy! Gimme multiple outputs!"
...Sampler practically SCREAMS: "Make me worthy! Gimme multiple outputs!"
SO OBVIOUS!!
Cannot believe this suggestion has had no response. This topic SHOULD be blowing up!! Such an OBVIOUS and NECESSARY IMPROVEMENT!!! Seems like all the really good ones get slept on.

Absolutely - this idea is awesome, and for anyone creating large sets it is a MUST.
I would go one further to do what imo solves a lot of issues and makes up for the missed boat I believe Drums Racks tried to achieve but failed.
The idea is kind of simple really, make either audio effects racks or instrument racks or both recognize multiple outputs on VST's or live instruments and add device chains automatically that take these as inputs.
i.e. if you were to use Battery VST in such an example you could mix all of the outputs within a device chain - one for each output - all grouped within one channel.... Extending this idea to Sampler you could simply assign a number to each sample that defines which output it is assigned to, and make the instrument chains sensitive to this - allowing you to either route output directly from Sampler to other channels, or group the whole process within a single channel and device rack - using the basic architecture of Drum Racks but with the Sampler as input and device chain automatically added for each output you add to sampler.
Does that make sense? I'll post another thread with images of a design mockup but this feature to me is what Drum Racks SHOULD have been. At the moment I find them useless apart from they way they allow you to use physical controllers like the padKontrol - but they are so single ended in implementation that I can't use them with the VST's I want to use them with. One VST per note? Sorry, but what is that to me?
So in short - it is an idea as beautiful as a beautiful thing....

This is exactly what Sampler needs. True multiple outputs, and a selection to assign a sample to a chosen output. This is still the main reason why Shortcircuit sees more use in my setup than Sampler.e-theory wrote:you could simply assign a number to each sample that defines which output it is assigned to

Bump
Just bought sampler as an add on - no multiple outputs! gutted
unless im just being stupid? in which case if anyone can enlighten me I would be greatful.

Re: Multiple outputs for Sampler!
Nope
... After all these years, no multiple outputs. One of my pet peeves, still. It's a brilliant and inspiring little sampler otherwise, btw. Constantly seeing heavy use over here nowadays. I've kind of gotten used to the no multi-out thing, but I still mention it once in a while, eh.
