Packs vs Presets

Post by LutherBaker » Wed Aug 01, 2012 6:20 pm

I've been shopping for some new drum sounds lately ... and see that Loopmasters provides both Ableton "Packs" and "Presets"?

What is the difference and which one would I prefer ... or should I get a different format altogether so as to be able to use it in other DAWs?

Also, any suggestions on some good sounding kits? Looking for Pop, R&B, HipHop, Electronic ... and already have Addictive Drums and BPM. Addictive is a little too much acoustic, BPM is a cool - maybe a little bit too harsh sounding and I find most of the native Live kits to be a bit flat.

Thanks,
-Luther

don't look at the sounds in the packs/kits whatever as the end goal. look at them as the starting point. apply effects such as EQ or reverb to adjust the sounds to taste.
