Ha! Well you never know, he could be both. I reckon your woman that provides the methylamine will come more into it, and as soon as Walt gets in with her, he'll try to off Mike.shadx312 wrote:Shit, I shouldn't have used the word Victor, I meant as the winner, not the guy!

Re: Breaking Bad
The scenes with Skylar at this point are fucking painful. Get rid of her already, ffs. Seriously. Boring shit. Plus, she seems to have gotten really fat and unsexy. For the first season or 2 she was MILF territory. Now? Complete cow. Plus, she's gone from sort of taking charge and become a partner in crime, to being a sniveling, emotional idiot. meh. Plastic bag over the head outta do it, Walt old boy.
Now then, can we have a proper discussion about Walt?
I don't see Walt as getting crazier. I see him as someone truly coming into his own - finding the 'real' Walt, as it were. Remember, during the first and second seasons there were important flashbacks of the brilliant Walt that almost was: CALTech graduate, part of a team that won the Nobel Prize ffs, co-founder of some biotech firm on his way to world domination...and ending with marraige, a kid, life.
There's always been a bitterness about the road he took...
People get this fucking character all wrong. FFS. I read people writing about this show or hear people talking about it and it's like this: "Mild mannered science teacher becomes a drug dealer and killer." That's totally false. More like "After a brief detour into boring suburban life, man finally takes the fucking bull by the horns and fulfills his destiny of greatness."
Done.

Re: Breaking Bad
Walter White is still recognizable as the petty tyrant high school teacher he was. He wheedles, he whines, he cajoles, he sulks and stamps his little feet when things don't go his way.
Ever since the cancer went into remission, he's been on a ludicrously lucky streak without even realizing it. That's half the humor of the show: He's crime TV's answer to Mr. Magoo.
Does he yet understand how much Mike has had his back, especially in Season Two?
And he has an inflated estimate of his own genius. Okay, sure. He can do one recipe to perfection. What chef can make a living that way? If he's such a scientist, why hasn't he expressed any interest in branching out? Those people tweaking molecules for that ever-evolving set of synthetic reefer strains would run rings around him.
I love this show, but part of it's a masochistic pleasure. As we saw at the beginning of this season, he survives at least another year. But I so want to see this guy stomped into the dirt. On the other hand, it's hilarious to see him prosper. Back in Season Two, I predicted he would wind up as Governor of New Mexico. Like Mr. Magoo, the world -- even the laws of physics -- bends to accommodate him.

Sorry. I have a recurring mental block which goes: It's in the Southwest and it's insane; it must be Arizona.
(And I've edited my post to correct that error. Thanks.)

Re: Breaking Bad
Skylar is making things so complicated for no reason. She's there because she's been there this whole time, it feels like, and it's really boring and awkward when she's on screen now. Especially after the Ted Bennekee incident.

Re: Breaking Bad
I think her main role is Walt's Designated Victim. (I liked the actress in Deadwood.)Stolenlogic wrote:Skylar is making things so complicated for no reason. Re: Breaking Bad
OMFG seeing Cranston with a full head of Hollywood hair and looking all youngish in the Total Recall trailer isn’t right. NOT RIGHT.

Re: Breaking Bad
Looks like a fun romp.
"What can I say? I give good wife." is not a funny line, though.

Wasn't the most iconic image of Heisenberg a drawing with no mouth?LoopStationZebra wrote:Jebus, no love for my new Heisenberg Wongs?

I'm uncertain, which is appropriate in this case.
Edited to add: Okay, I can't find it in Google Images, so I guess I was wrong.
