Hi guys
After 2 years of music sabbatical I've finally decided to start producing again. This time with the main goal to do a live act. No more DJing, merely live act.
I have got Maschine and Ableton... but I think I'm a little bit short on controllers to do a proper live act. Perhaps not a controller but a small mixer? I have never done a live act yet and am eager to hear experiences and advice on how to set up a decent 1 hour live show.
What I'm doing now is produce the loops in Maschine, audio copy to Ableton and build a set.. but if I make loops of every synth I produce in Maschine.. I am no longer able to adjust the envelop etc live. Which is obviously something that makes the live set .. live.
So what if I would have 20 tracks with 1 x Massive in each of the track.. how would I control the macro knobs of Massive.. of each new sound/track. Thats just one of the many things I wonder about. So if you do a live act with Ableton and Maschine + ...? please give me your feedback and help me along.
Thanks
Jaimie

Re: Help me set up my live act set up..
start visualizing what you're specifically going to do on stage...
then start building a technical detail around how you're going to achieve it...
like...
if you already have tracks.. think of how you'd like to perform them..which parts are you going to tweak etc.
maybe study other peoples rigs..
it's a lot of work.. a lot of testing.. hits/misses...
could be that maschine and a computer keyboard may be all that you need..
maybe you're gonna need something else..
there's no 'one size fits all' in this imo

BCF2000 is my "mixer". Highly recommended.
