Sounds absolutely gorgeous. A little rough (even with a discount) for people who bought aether/breeze already.

Seems like a nice verb. 2caudio make nice sounding reverb no doubt. And the main guy is very friendly it seems. I do think they're products are overpriced though. I bought Aether during a group buy for 125, which I was happy about, but I would never spend the full 250 on it. Same with this one. The 150 intro seems reasonable but with valhallaroom and aether already, I don't quite think I can bite. Maybe it just seems overpriced compared to the Valhalla plugs, which are amazing for 50 bucks.

Cool thing about this B2 is that it loads breeze presets and can be equally as CPU efficient if just using the single engine, it can be crazy using the two engins. And I do think breeze is quite nice. So part of me would like this since I don't have breeze. But I should not let the GAS take over.

The Attitude module may be placed in four different routing positions within the signal chain. Output positions generally give more severe results as they also cause intermodulation distortion in the reverb tail. Gentle saturation modes can give a sonic character similar to the imperfections of various classical hardware devices that had to deal with electrical engineering issues such as poor power supplies and other real-world things we don't claim to fully understand all the details of. Extreme Attitude settings work best on drums, basses, monophonic leads, and synth pads with few transients. They offer some uniquely twisted timbres suitable for aggressive styles of modern music production and we offer several preset folders dedicated to this end. They are unlikely to find application in your latest string quartet, but fear not, because if you simply disable the Attitude control or substantially reduce the knob value and accept humility, you will quickly ascend through the nine levels of the inferno and return to paradise.

Aether is seriously the best and most diverse re-verb processor I've ever owned...
it proves quality...
I didn't get "Breeze" when it came out..
because it seemed redundant for Aether users..saves maybe 2% cpu...
this is why B2 is jaw-dropping to me...
it goes beyond Aethers' capabilities..
and sounds range from sweet to insane..
if I thought Aether was an organic and non-linear reverb...
b2 goes to the absurds integrating effects and giving control over many many parameter which you would not find on any reverb unit...
this I love..
and think we should get more of...
truly innovative

I'll summarize by saying..
in this day and age...
it's rather hard to sell vst plugins to me...
I'm pretty much over-stocked with stuff for everything I need..
(Live+M4l+Reaper+Komplete7+Waves Mercury+selected plugins)
this thing was a no-brainer for me even at 150$...
you can't put a price on good times...
in my mind...this thing has already "returned" it's investment

You will notice B2 seems to have about a 100% approval rating in terms of sound-quality, features, and performance, and it seems we may have another hit on our hands. The only complaints seem to be:

1) Perfect Storm customers should get a larger discount than single-product customers.
2) It's too good. (or we like it more than Aether, etc.)

why should they make the difference.. or even care ?
they're listening to the complete finished sound the "craftsman" constructed..
and the craftsman loves his tools...
and knows (or should know) the differences between them

with that logic we should only have 1 of any kind..
1 compressor.. 1 eq... etc.
even Lives' compressor has more than 1 detection algo.

I could not justify spending extra for a few presets......

Does B2 make Aether redundant ? It seems to be Aether on steroids, with a cleaner GUI.

Did I mention that I fucking LOVE the distortion presets ?

this is a reverb unit that can growl !
I don't know if it "replaces" Aether... it's less "conventional"

I guess buying the "aether expansion" will save you another 25$ ?
(get the presets for 25$ which qualify you for "perfect storm 1.0" and get the upgrade to 2.0 for 99$)

for me it wasn't applicable because I only own Aether..

to keep ME inspired...
to keep ME exploring...
if an fx/instrument ... surpasses my expectations..
then it will be a welcomed addition to my pallette..
if I can currently afford to get it
simply put... new toys for the kid in me...
this was the case when I moved to Live from Cubase...
and when I got tools like Absynth or Reaktor..
I'm not an audiophile.. but I do (really) like messing with sounds...
and make a living off of it...
and I also have a lot of respect for the people making these products..
this is not my first and will not be my last reverb I'm guessing...

I used to say all I need I have in Live..
while this is still somewhat true..
I could never get the sounds I get from Aether/b2 so easily in Live..
and I don't see why I should limit myself for the sake of what?
