Burning live 4 CD with Nero Express 6

Post by michaelblount » Tue Jul 12, 2005 7:10 pm

Hi

Can anyone tell me how you set up live 4 to burn a file to a CD with Nero express, just can't get it to work and beginning to thing it doesn't.

I have loaded wav files from the browser into live and made a song arrangement with the follow actions, . I have recorded my voice with this arrangement and saved it as a 'Save live set' and 'Save self-contained' from the file menu. the file is definatety on the cCD because I see it when I open it on the CD in Live. When I try to open it in Nero and the Nero screen asks to to add what files I want to burn it doesn't show up on the CD and one time I got a message saying file not compatable.

What am I doing wrong please.

Are you using Nero.

Regards Michael

Where did you save your file as self contained ? Your post sounds like it is already on a CD, isn't it a DD ????
If it is on your hard drive, you should be able to burn it as ISO CDRom on a CDR. If you want to burn audio files as an audio CD, you should make sure your audio files are 44,1Khz 16 bit. You can set the format of recorded files in live's preferences (see the manual).

Hope that helps,

I may be misunderstanding what you are asking.

Do you want to listen to the finished song that you created on another CD player or do you want to save the project and all its part on a CD so that you can open it in Live on another computer?

If it is the first: you highlight the length you want to render in arrange view and go to the file pull down window and click on render to disk and follw the prompts (the manual will help explain the different parts) then you go into nero and burn an audio disk of the wav file that you just created.

If it is the second: after you have saved self contained, you don't do anything in Live but go into Nero and burn a data disk of all the files in the folder where you saved self contained.
