I've used Live 8 reason together for many years. I want to try and use some of reason's effects on an audio track (vocal track) in ableton. I've used the external instruments in ableton to hear reason instruments. However, what should I do if I want to use for ex: the Polar effect in reason on a vocal track in live. Is this possible?
Thanks!!!

Hi Buddy
What springs to mind,is to make a combinator in Reason with Polar inside thisroute the combinator to one of the spare rewire channels available, making note of which one.
Then to create an external instrument rack within Live
You should be able to use this on your vocal track, via the routing options on the external instrument.
Although I haven't used Reason for a while,I reckon this should be possible

Ok cool. I'll have to try bouncing the audio out of live.
Any tips on the best way to do that?

How to bounce a track? That is something you should probably know by now if you've been using Live for "many years".
Another way to do it is to run audio out of Live using Soundflower or Jack, and then run the input to a Reason track, put an effect on it, and then run that back out to live, using an "External Audio Effect" device, but it requires that you open Reason first, disabling rewire, so if you're using other Reason instruments, and not just audio effects, it kind of limits your options. It's a clunky method, but will allow you to hear the results immediately vs. bouncing then applying the effect.

Thanks anarktika.....yea, Im very well aware of how to bounce audio within live. My confusion was taking audio out of live and putting it into reason. I guess I could just take the file audio sample and copy it into reason.
