Can’t help but feel how comparable that phrase is for the illusion of our political system. People will align themselves with their political party (OS) and for the majority they won’t stray from that. Even when their party (OS) doesn’t always align with their needs they’ll stick with them regardless either because of a long allegiance with them or more often a complete hatred of the other parties (OS).

An older friend of mine offered this saying about our political system:

If you’re a republican when you’re young you don’t have a heart.
If you’re a democrat when you’re old you don’t have a brain.

Still pondering that one.
your older friend must be licking his chops right about now and hardly able to contain himself at the very thought of getting his medical voucher in the mail. :|

fixed.
So you just proved my point. I'm a right-winger in your eyes because I don't agree with you. My conservative friends do the same thing but they call me a liberal. Go figure.

i don't have anything to prove, you've only proven in all cases that you're one sided on the issue. you guys are all about the party I'm about what's being served, not who's serving it.

No, I'm all about thinking for myself, not blindly following ideological paths laid out before me. I'm not interested in parties at all, they're only symptoms of the ideological brainwashing.

It really just won't compute for you that (1) people can think for themselves and (2) they aren't necessarily your polar opposite/evil if they happen to disagree with you about something. The 1s and 0s just won't work together in your brain to get you to see that it seems.

Now ask me who I'm voting for.

so you think when people advocate unity that they're not thinking for themselves

it doesn't matter who you're voting for what matters is why you're voting for them. Judging by your modus operandi I'd have to hazard that you're voting for whomever pushes the ideas that you support the least, at least around these parts.

Well, as it always has, it depends on what they mean by "unity." You never seem to be able to express what you mean by it.

My MO, what MO? What evidence leads you to this conclusion? I know you're not going to answer so I don't know why I'm even seriously posing the question. I guess I try to keep the faith that you might one day be willing/able to intelligently answer a question without resorting to side-stepping.

fuck you dude. i'd rather believe half of what someone that speaks like MLK says than any amount of what someone who speaks like Romney/Ryan.

Romney/Ryan cannot even pretend to be telling the truth any more. it has become way too obvious. they just lie and keep going.

your comment makes you sound like some kind of racist and/or hateful piece of shit any way.

those questions have been answered many times over on this forum and in this thread but don't let that stop you from asking again while at the same time vehemently disagreeing with what you claim to not know. Your condescension is like a warm blanket on a smolderingly hot and unbelievably humid summer evening under a canopy of thick moist undergrowth on giligans island. I am comforted.
