Yea well like with most multinational company's its usually the consumer who looses out in the end if there
is no competition for that particular product that's why even if (speculation alert!!!)
bit wig turns out to be a bit rubbish at least if it pushes ableton along that will be a good
positive outcome, but as bit wig ain't a big multinational i hope they do well with this one

that layering shit they got going on there looks fucking sweet! no daw does that yet i thought
of that a while back with photoshop style layering and wondered if that could be applied to
a daw.

i know that a lot has been copied from ableton in the apparent design and function of this
bit wig thing but as others have said what linear based daw has not been copied from steinberg

there are a lot of forward thinking ideas they seem to be implementing at the core of bit wig
and for that they deserve to succeed...

For all Lives 'misgivings' we have to remember, there are years of research, resources and development there in the foundation.. Not to mention Robert Henke ;)

:D

in the long run all I want is a good DAW experience. I ditched Sonar for Live years ago and stuck with it. being a one DAW guy and one that loves this shit I know I'm missing out on features other DAWs have, Live is pretty immature in many fashions. I like having new features so I can keep growing. I want Live 9 for new stuff to learn and play with. going to a new DAW like BitWig or back to Sonar or whatever would be something I'd do in time just to grow as a person.

clearly I have a love for Ableton but to say I wouldn't switch to another DAW is doing them a disservice. hold their feet to the fire, make them actually put out a better product, have them deal with competition. if Ableton and Bitwig are both holding out to see what the other does, that's total bullshit because it's the users that are losing in that battle no matter who wins that dick dance.

 ANNOUNCEMENT :!:
I'm releasing a DAW called LiveWig that has everything Live and Bitwig have plus ALL the user feature requests. go to funken's web site to sign up for the beta. .jpgs coming soon!

on that day neither .jpeg nor envelope automation will save you.

64 bit and 32 bit will be equals

Mac and PC will be as one

dual monitors will not have the resolution to protect their own pixels

there will be no sound engine...

^ yes, in fact i personally ate yesterday's bulk. that's what Americans do... we see something in abundance and we try to get most if not all of it as quickly as possible. i pissed off the entire west coast and half of the gulf coast with my insatiable munchies. the northern and midwest states all had to eat Ramen. while Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and parts of Arkansas survived off some pinto beans that were confiscated off a truck.

a few other examples of this could be:

a mythical DAW that swoops down and smashes Ableton Live in its stagnant, barely uttering a word, clearly non-progressive tracks. Americans want it most.

iPhone 5. there are more Americans in line right now. you can tell by the pictures.

all the different nationalities we've stolen to make up our population.

...that, and the Couric measurements of the schmoo i took after that big meal.

they already are. I saw a .jpg of it running on a netbook with 1% CPU load playing a live set at Burning Man.

It's a great phrase, but at the risk of sounding boring, there is no shortage of food in the world, never has been, not in recent decades anyway. However the bulk of it is eaten by Americans. :D
we waste 40% of the food as well, it falls on the floor and no one picks it up

I think i see a problem with this though

burning man is in america most of sicknotes lyrics consist
of irony and social metaphor. How are they going to understand a
word?

Sorry that was a poor use of stereo typical generalization
i know there are some brilliant american minds out there.

Still it's probably a step up from Chav Island over here
Is there any hope? anywhere

prob not
