I am. RGB pads are going to be immense for the already amazing workflow, especially for live.botstein wrote:So... is anybody upgrading?

I'm thinking about it. I'm not afraid to sound like an artiste and admit that 'I need to figure out what my music is about' before investing in the new Maschine.

Sounds interesting - can you explain this further?djadonis206 wrote:I couldn't resist. I picked up an mk1. It actually compliments the MachineDrum quite nice.
Is the workflow like resampling? or sound design for recording and looping automation ?

I just got a MK1 about two months ago. I really like it. I can't wait to see it develop (unlike Ableton, which just stays the same lol)djadonis206 wrote:I couldn't resist. I picked up an mk1. It actually compliments the MachineDrum quite nice.

Oh damn. My new fun game is to scroll through samples with preview on and record all the weird noises that it makes!!!!!

Maschine's just a way of incorporating more samples. I also have an Octatrack, but you ony get 7 or 8 tracks of samples out of that.Ben_Binary wrote:Sounds interesting - can you explain this further?djadonis206 wrote:I couldn't resist. I have this whole setup midi slaved to Ableton. I'm considering going completely hardware by getting an MPC (old one, 2000xl's go for like $300 on CL here).
That's some retro throwback shit to the 90's but I'm not a professional producer and probably will never be one so I got no problem making beats the way I want to, the old school way. There's no incentive for me to use the newest samples on the newest software, if you get what I'm saying. Been there, done that - hardware is funner
