Digidesign Command 8 + Ableton live ??

I am in the process of buying a motorised Fader controller.
My choice for the moment is Command 8 or Faderport.
Can anyone gives me feedback on Command 8 and Faderprot with Ableton 8 on Windows 7 ??

I've had nothing but hurt from trying to use the Command 8 with anything other than Pro Tools.

It IS possible, but really irritating, as it doesn't follow any standard protocol, so you have to re-map every single thing, and not all the buttons even send MIDI that Live can use.


I would advise against it.
