Re: Ableton Live made it to the Rode final! Watch and listen!
Okej,
it takes just 3 minutes:
1m45s to watch it,
30s to enjoy (it's up to you)
and 45s to vote for it!
and I would be extremely grateful!

Hi Peter,
thanks for your reply!
I'm just happy to tell you more about the project.
As it was a quite spontaneous idea to take part in this competition, there is no blog or website or something like that.
But now as it is all about voting in the final, I think it would have been good to make it more public from the beginning!
First it was a Jury who selected the 10 finalists from over 200 entries, so I don't really thought about marketing!
The prerequisites of this competition was quite easy, not longer than 2 minutes, and there had to be a Rode microphone in frame!
Okej, I wanted to solve this as creative as possible, and as I'm working as a sound designer in real life,
i wanted to take advantage of it and sound and music should be an important thing to tell my Story.
I have always been a big fan of looping, not just in Live, also with different pedals, e.g. the ehx 2880 (seen in the film), so I wanted to make a film about looping.
Yes, but to make it interesting I needed something special in the film.
Inspired by my daughter I had Bodo in mind immediately, as he is almost a member of our family.
When the story was written, I started to record different sounds and made a first version of the song to see how it works.
And yeah, there is nothing better than Ableton Live to make loop-based music with field recordings and foley sounds!!!
Now I was in the middle of the process and developed the music hand in hand with the cutting and filming.
As Bodos world is quiet small, it was possible for me to realize the project all at home without a budget and just with help of friends and family!
When I was happy with the music and had all the pictures to the sounds, I started to work with all the details and the final sound design.
I always loved Live (okej, that's not true, the love began with Live 3),
and especially now when I had to change and adapt the music on the fly it was the perfect tool one more time!
I hope you got a better picture of the project and why Live was so important for it/me.
Otherwise, feel free to ask again!!
Best regards
Boris

I've tried some other videos and yours is really one of the few which presents a nice little story with a nice music composition AND a good video.
Bright ideas with the will to achieve the project, I say congrats

Bravo, sir. BRAVO!!
Not your fault, but the fact that I have to vote through either my facebook account (So facebook can further track and advertise shit to me. Fuck you) or sign up for a site I never plan to visit again (and will probably market shit to me), you're just going to have to accept my bravo on here as evidence I really enjoyed it.
There's tech out there that can validly track votes without making people sign up for a site.

I can fully accept your decision! As you said, I haven't made the rules!beats me wrote:Bravo, sir. BRAVO!!

You know, I'm happy about every single vote at the moment,
but there is a life after the contest, therefore it means much more to me to hear when people like the film, so, thank you!!!
