Need a bi-directional low to high pass filter plug-in

Hi all, I'm having no look trying to find a single plug-in with a central position and low pas to the left and high pass to the right. Just like the Traktor bi-rectional filters.

Has anyone come across a more DJ orientated plug-in to offer this?

I am aware of the work arounds, but I'm trying to create a simple set-up for beginners so it needs to be out of the box.

Just use an fx rack with both filters in and map a macro knob with the range set accordingly.

EDIT - spoke too soon - it's not as simple as that to do with one knob as you can't set the filter to do a full sweep for just half the macro knob range.

yeah so far I think controlling two filters with a centre orientated MIDI slider in Lemur on the iPad will be best. With a different CC going up to going down, then have it set to auto snap back to its middle position.

It's odd though such a simple and obviously easy to use approach to filter sweeps and there isn't any obvious VSTs for it.

Anyone else got any suggestions?

Don´t know of a vst, but if you have M4L you can do it the way paulmaddox described plus Ben Juodvalkis´ Modulator

there was this free plugin i came across..not the best filter for how it does actually sound but it has this central position thing-- "the pilgrim". Never used it though..

cool, it doesn't have resonance, or any drive in it but it does the basics pretty well. thanks NPC

I was also advised to try Turnado, but at a glance couldn't figure out how to get the high pass to run the right way on the fader. I could get it to only work on the lower halve, but couldn't spot how to do the reverse.

i'm thinking an even better feature request would be away to change the resolution of the macro knobs to send a 0 value when center then from center to left goes from 0-127 and center to right goes from 0-127. This would open the door wide for xy controllers to do some amazing things. I am thinking the chain selector would also have to change to reflect the same values.

great thanks for that. Downloading them both now to try. I found with a single limiter set to activate. One for up and the other down, then to raise the gain to 6db on a Macro assignment, got a pretty good bite to The Pilgrim. But having resonance on HiLo looks like it might be better.

thanks again teragon with two utility's set to about 6 db boosts for either side is pretty close to the Traktor filter without A/bing them. Thanks all for the help
