Here is a few, wishes for next version of live :
Group track :
-------------
- In group track : ability to freeze a group track (freez all the tracks of the group)
- In group track : ability to name "clips"
- In group track : the loop counter (track status) should indicate the time of the longest loop.
Arrangement view :
------------------
- In arrangement view (and In clip view) : Ability to zoom in Y scale (vertical) and not only in x scale (horizontal i.e : time) with the mouse (as an example : shift + middle click wheel)
- in arrangement view, we need the ability to know wether a track is a group or not (when cropped). In session view we can know it with the "shape" of the clips but it's not visible enough to me.
- In arrangement view : Ablity to "link" copies of a clip to not to have modify the clip as many times as we copied it -or to have to copy it again).
Session view :
--------------
- in session view : ability to suppress the play button of a scene (like we can suppress the stop button of a clip). Espacially usefull we we have suppressed the stop button corresponding clips.
Midi and key mapping :
-----------------
- APC 40 : It would be nice to have the ability to have always the "same" tracks (automatically) assigned whether or group track is cropped or not. Usefull in studio when croppping and expanding groups, but when we don't want the APC assignation to be changed.
- ability to map a macro knob even if it automation had already been recording on this knob.
- ability to make any switch toggle or not.
General :
---------
- a larger scale of color preset for clip and track coloration
- instant search : when filling in a search request, the result should be dislpay without having to press "enter". Use more CPU but very usefull while searching.
- when plugins are missing they have to be indicated in the same windows than the missing files are, and not only indicated while trying to load them.
Miscellaneous :
-------------
- sweat smooth preset : the preset change make all the knobs to moove slowly (in a given time) and not instenly. As an example, the GRM tools have this functionnality.
- Integrated Kapture max4live plugin on a single track or group (so it would be very fast to store and restore). If fact I experiment bug (very long time to load and restore preset).
- when soloing many tracks we can go back to the whole arrangement by "cmd+click solo button" on one the solo tracks, which is perfect but it would be nice to do the same back i.e. solo the all tracks back again with cmd+click solo
- ability to freeze a track even if there is side compression. In this case it would freeze all the track before the compressor or freeze the side track(s) too.
- Mac OSX Lion fullscreen integration/compatibility
- Audiosculpt (with Live's ease of use naturally ! ) : integretaed editor in live for demastering and extrem time streching.
- Ability to export score out of live set.
- a very good piano emulation (pianoteq is one example)... I could buy it but my sets are 99% Live of max4live, because of its magnificent GUI.
- It would be cool to be able to store each layer made by the looper in a different clip. (the a way of doing it explained by tom cosm, but a simpler one would be great)
Well I hope the my requests are understandable... If not tell me, I'll try to be more precise.
thanks.

+1 for: - It would be cool to be able to store each layer made by the looper in a different clip. (the a way of doing it explained by tom cosm, but a simpler one would be great)
and my wish:
Start looper's recording with the first played tone, but "pre listned", so the first note ist fully recorded

My main bugbear is the Sending CC's to a Midi Port from Macro controls.
Macrobat (part of the excellent ClyphX) does it. Allows you use your little Midi controller (like a Nocturn) to automatically map to the 8 most significant Midi parameters in your Set, and enables you draw Automation Curves in the Arrangement (and now in 9, the Session View!).
I do hope ClyphX and Macrobat will work with Ableton 9. Since I've started to use it, it's "made a man" of Ableton, in terms of expressive power, new options, and workflow.
Either that, or they try to implement this natively...
I guess that next on the list are:
- Better Midi Clock (higher-priority thread for fewer jitters) when external Midi gear is slaved to Ableton's clock - altho, I often nowadays sequence drums by the Silent Way sending Audio to Sonic Core's Modular as 'virtual CV' - Modular with Flexor has a cracking few drum patches. That's if I'm not just using a Drum Rack...
- Lack of NRPN support. It's not so dissimilar to CC that it's OK to lump it in with "We don't do Sysex" excuses. So saying, I've since offloaded my last NRPN synth, but I'm tempted to do the Hawk-800 Mod to my Korg EX-800, which gives NRPN control over Synth parameters...
I've heard it said that Ableton's Mixdown / summing algorithm suffers in the quality stakes - robbing a mix of depth I guess. I mix in Sonic Core Scope now, wonderful options and great sound quality, but, even if it wasn't true, I still felt disheartened/covetous of the supposedly-better Cubase and others when I was trying to polish the shine into my mixes before Scope...

Re: Big list
Well, studying the new Live 9 feature I have to say that you'll never see most those things, Ableton does not care for those small but important stuff, they think 'bigger' (Push)...Polyson wrote:nobody founded my requests intereting ??
