How to record Scrub movements in arrangement view?

stuck on a problem.
In the arrange view, i wish to scrub the arrangement and have it recorded into
its own clip, so i can use it in the arrangement. Tried a few times, its not
working for me.

Can this be done?

Ive noticed if i scrub the same thing in arrange versus clip view (after resampling),
the affect is different. So i really wanna do/record scrubbing in the arrangement view,
its more musical in my track.

Create a new track and select resample as the input, record activate that track, record as clip in session but srub in arrangement. If that doesnt work you might need to send to another sofwatware
