m-audio 410

recently bought the 410 m-audio, have not updated live yet...

cannot get mics to record..what possibly might I be missing?

Going from m-audio firewire to computer...have mics off interface...what stupid thing am I not getting...

I'm a guitarist and looks like recording may not be my thing...hope I can get this down...

Make sure the line switch on the front is set properly, and that a signal is being received by the 410. If you are getting a green light when you are sending a signal, then you should be alright hardware wise.

Then double check the settings in the 410's mixer app. Make sure the inputs are routed to the outputs properly. Same thing in Live. Make sure it's set up all gravy like.

I don't think I could have got this without your help. Thank you...

I want the headphones on the m-audio to be monitoring my playing but right now it's using my surround sound...I guess that's all in the assigning the input/outputs...I'll have to play around with it alot more.....
